Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor - The Jaeger LeCoultre Compressor Is Functional
and Beautiful
Usually a watch is made for its aesthetic value or its durability, such as designer
watches made to be a fine piece of craftsmanship or made to withstand a beating.
While wristwatches are rarely both, the Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor
line is. What makes this line of watches different is its ability to withstand extreme
conditions and a compression key that offers excellent sealing. The same high-quality
materials that go into making each watch a thing of beauty is also implemented in
making the Compressor line, but with the added durability that makes is long-lasting,
even in harsh conditions.

One of the models, the Jaeger LeCoultre Compressor Driving Chronograph GMT Navy
SEALs watch is in the minority of watches made that can take a beating and still
work and look great. This model was actually worn by Navy SEALs for one year. This
model has unique characteristics, such as being assembled by hand with an in-house
movement. It also contains more complications than are usually found on most luxury
timepieces. Because this model is a limited edition, it is rare and extremely difficult
to find, unless you are a ‘somebody’, as this watch is a multipurpose, multifunction
powerhouse of a tool watch that is made by one of the top timepiece manufactures
in the world.
Jaeger LeCoultre first introduced a diving watch to the world in 1959, with the
Memovox Deep Sea. It was the first automatic diving watch to feature a mechanical
alarm. Jaeger LeCoultre was not satisfied with a dial embellished with nautical
references, as he went on to develop watches designed to meet the needs of drives.
This was innovative for its time with the acoustic indicator made to inform divers
when to begin their gradual return to the surface. With this feature Jaeger LeCoultre
made diving safer for sports enthusiasts. His success with innovative features led
to today’s Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor line.
Antoine LeCoultre was a master when it came to making precision time pieces that
were not only functional, but aesthetically pleasing. His work led to a gold medal
in 1851 for his work with timepiece mechanization and precision. It is only fitting
that the knowledge his has passed on to each generation of horologists would lead
to the production of watches, such as the Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor,
that can be both a beautiful luxury watch that duals as tough, functional watch
for men who take part in extreme sports.
