IWC Portofino Collection - Luxury, Grace and Sophistication

During the 1950s, times were good. Many years before the 1950s, a man by the name of Florentine Ariosto Jones (1841-1916), went to Switzerland. He had a dream of utilizing the functionality that American watch makers had discovered and adding to it the beauty that Swiss watch makers so greatly executed. To celebrate their 120th year, IWC once again delivered a beautifully elegant time piece. As part of the IWC Portofino Collection, the Reference 2532 was a hand wound watch made in gold. Of course, they did not stop there. In 1993, IWC made their match and built the thinnest hand wound watch of the time. Until 2005 when they replaced the Portofino Hand-Wound Reference 2010 with the Portofino Automatic Reference 3533 and reverted back to a thicker styling. Of course, time is always changing and IWC knows how to fit a watch together perfectly. In 2008, IWC decided to go back to the look of the Portofino originally made in the 1950s. Of course, modern improvements were made. With this watch one can find such intricacy such as the moon phase. Unlike the original watch, this function is so spot-on that it will not diverge more than one day of the moon phase within 122 years.
