When the International Watch Company (IWC) came to be in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, an American watch maker, Florentine Ariosto Jones (1841–1916), knew that utilizing the technology that Americans created watches with and the beauty of Swiss watches, the ultimate watch could be made.
