Hublot Big Bang King 48
Defying every avenue of watch making, Hublot has brought inspiration to the industry
since 1980, when Carlo Crocco created the exquisite Hublot Gold watch and a black
rubber bracelet. The style became an instant favorite, and the Big Bang King 48
is just another hit in the long line of the Big Bang family. There are three elements
that set this watch apart from others in the collection: the avant-garde design
completed with the massive 48mm case; the obvious Hublot chronograph movement that
is of course proprietary; and the Hublot King Gold that was developed exclusively
for them, a beautiful red gold alloy and powerfully resistant.

The Big Bang King 48 was a complete redesign, the case being of course a focal point,
was created with sharp angles, and straight edges that feature raised screws. The
decorative tubes are set in black composite resin and the push pieces on the side
of the case stand out significantly more than before.
The rubber molding that has been laid around the ceramic base has given the bezel
a very unique look, and the dial creation has been masterfully created with several
levels, as the black hour markers are showcased with several other applied elements.
The seconds hand and chronograph have been developed with twin levels, and dual
types of finish.
You can also find the Hublot Big Bang King 48 in zirconium, which you can see featured
by Ernesto Bertarelli, whose Swiss colours can be seen in the 33rd America’s Cup
which is of course sponsored by Hublot. Bertarelli is happy wearing the high-tech
Alinghi 5, which you can expect to see newer versions, that should increase the
collection from the current 28 watches in the King Power Tourbillon limited edition
series.
The Big Bang King 48 certainly lives up to the powerful design crafted from micro
blasted black ceramic and the black nickel hands are coated with black SuperLuminova.
When Carlo Crocco was growing up in a family of watch makers he acquired his discerning
sense of style. The Hublot Big Bang King 48 is another example of the brilliance
Crocco delivered to the world, a watch that was elegant, sporting, and more than
a fashion statement.
As royalty, celebrities and the sports world quickly became owners and fans of the
Hublot designs, the watches gained exclusive and prestigious center stage in the
world of watch making. As Crocco began his search for someone to direct his watch
making business, he came upon Jean-Claude Biver. Biver gathered his education of
watch crafting from Audemars Piguet and together they launched a successful brand
that was sold to Swatch. Crocco new that Biver had the love and drive needed to
take his vision and continue the quest for excellence.
The Hublot Big Bang King 48 is just one of the unique and excellent designs within
the collection that Hublot has delivered; once again a fabulous timepiece that continues
to reflect the refined beauty and flawless perfection you expect from the watch
maker.
