Corum History - Continuing to Progress as Time Passes

Corum was born in Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland when the co-founders joined Gaston Ries, a watch making group in 1955. The company now has an owner with majority interest in Corum that plans to keep everything consistent with how the company was created.

Corum created a niche and today they still possess this niche in the watch collection world. The $20 Liberty Eagle watch was created by putting quality motorized parts between a U.S. $20 gold coin cut in half. This process had been conquered before but the watches were not made into wrist watches, only pocket watches. This type of watch requires several hours of patience and hand finishing work to complete.

This watch company lives with the motto that time continues to move forward so watch designs should also continue to change as time passes.
