Zenith Watch History – Built on Integrity & Still Visible Today
Zenith was created in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot after he thought timepieces were important enough to bring many famous watchmakers together to develop the perfect watch. This young 22 year old manufacturer of watches named his watch collection after the highest point in the universe, zenith. He felt the constellation revolving around the pole star in the night sky were just as complex as the pieces of his watches. The star became the symbol for his brand name and to this day still reminds lovers of the Zenith watch collection of the integrity and precision that each watch emits.
The company contains watchmakers that love the products they build which can be seen in each watch with the name Zenith on them. The watch collection of today is continuing to uphold the value of mechanical perfection while introducing modern style. They have become a true treasure all over the world with offices in places such as Moscow, New York, Tokyo, and Paris.
El Primero began in the last 1960´s as the first integrated automatic chronograph with 36,000 vibrations per hour. Even to this day it is still the fastest automatic chronograph in addition to being the most accurate.
The brand name of Zenith also has a women´s watch collection that has become quite sought after. Wearing a Zenith symbolizes history, integrity and the love of watch making.
