Explore and Protect

Blancpain is well known for exquisite timepieces, as well as helping discovery, exploration and protection of the oceans.  From the creation of the Fifty Fathoms diver’s watch to the latest and most excellent Mokarran Limited Edition Watch, the brand has devoted a initiative to support the hammerhead shark in French Polynesia.  This timepiece will support the Mokarran Protection Society with donations as well as continue to promote, respect and protect the worlds oceans.  The Green-dialed dive watch that Blancpain has crafted is quite the beauty.

Hammerhead Beauty

The striking unidirectional tropical green dial on this limited edition timepiece reflects light with the help of the sunburst finish, and makes this exclusive watch aesthetically beautiful.  The Mokarran Limited Edition Watch has been created with baton-type hands and geometric hour-markers that of course are coated with the luminescent material, and a breathtaking brushed ceramic case, crafted at 43.6mm wide and 13.83mm thick.  There is a hammerhead drawn on the rotor of the 1318 caliber movement, a dedication to the support the brand provides.  The movement was developed by the brand for the sports watch collections and feature a balance equipped with a silicon balance-spring and three barrels.  The solid gold oscillating weight is NAC-coated and engraved with that fabulous hammerhead.

The Details are Shark

Taking a new direction with the Mokarran Limited Edition watch, Blancpain complemented the dial with a matte green ceramic bezel and finished with a black NATO strap that matches the dark ceramic exterior.  The date aperture is set at 4:30, like other timepieces in the Fifty Fathoms collection.
